Moving Forward

Islam has failed to evolve in the modern world. Liberal infatuation with the culture is completely disproportional to how intolerant, immoral, and violent the Muslim religion demands its followers must still be. Those that we see on TV beheading foreign reporters, lynching homosexuals, shooting dissenting citizens, all have the full support of the highest Muslim religious authority. The greatest irony is that those devout Muslims hate the decadent, Godless, Liberal culture that grants them morally relativistic credence more than anything else. At least God fearing men, are allowed to live as Dhimis, or second-class citizens under Muslim rule.

That dispels the other self-righteous and hollow defense of brutal Islam. The fact that "they allowed all types of citizens while Christians were murdering millions" during the Dark Ages does not mean that non-Muslims had many rights but the right to live in The Ottoman Empire (as Dhimis), and it certainly does not excuse that same degrading behavior now. Every major religion has grown with the generations, evolving to encompass and guide every new possibility that man through his ingenuity has created. But in the eyes of some Liberals, Islam is still resting on its bloody 500 year old laurels.

Lucky for us, Obama doesn't think so. Its refreshing how he understands their complete lack of contribution to anything innovative in the sciences or anything progressive in world culture since they briefly carried the Roman mantle of enlightenment 500 years ago. Perhaps that is why Obama wants NASA Administrator Charles Bolton to "find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and...help them feel good about their historic contribution to science." Since Americans know that they were first on the moon, they don't have to be reminded. Perhaps its important to remind Muslims that they weren't always a force for de-evolution in the world though.

When John F. Kennedy challenged this country to explore space, it catalyzed a forward movement that is so stereotypic of our real historic success. America wasn't conquered by stagnating settlers, and those settlers could not have codified our Constitution without rising to arms. Space is our last frontier, and it represents the progress we've made in technology to get there, and the changes we've made in our Western Culture to deserve it. How dare Obama give it away.
